Alex & Julian

In New York City, Alex von Bidder and Julian Niccolini are simply known as “Alex & Julian.” For nearly forty years their unique style of hospitality has played host to the ‘who’s who’ and captains of industry—who call The Four Seasons home. 

Julian is the architect of the restaurant’s wine program and was described as the "madcap Maître d' of America's most powerful lunchroom" by GQ magazine. He is known for charming his patrons with a surprising mix of four-star hospitality and sense of humor. Alex often plays foil to Julian boisterous levity with his subdued and breezy elegance. He came to The Four Seasons forty years ago with a background in Swiss hotels. Alex is also the proud Co-Author of The Four Seasons: A History of America’s Premier Restaurant and the best-selling children’s book Wiggens Learns His Manners at the Four Seasons Restaurant. 

As the proprietors and managing partners of The Four Seasons, the restaurant lives on with their familial presence in dining room.
